    Drafting Finalised

    The TAC has completed development work on the draft materials, which will now go through an independent edit and quality assurance review.

    The project is expected to be submitted to the AISC for approval in April 2019 and final drafts will be made available then.

    INDUSTRY SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS NEEDED

    The Aviation IRC is currently forming a TAC for the Flight Operations – Rescue Crewperson project.

    Your industry expertise and insight is welcome to help review and develop qualifications and new Skill Sets to ensure cargo service and rescue qualifications align to revised civil aviation safety requirements.

    Background

    The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has commissioned a project to revise existing qualifications in the AVI Aviation Training Package. The project will align cargo service and rescue qualifications to revised civil aviation safety requirements.

    The project will include:

    • Review of 2 existing qualifications
    • Review 9 existing Units of Competency
    • Development of up to 3 new Skill Sets

    The Aviation Industry Reference Committee (IRC) will have oversight of this project, which will be facilitated by Australian Industry Standards (AIS) in consultation with industry stakeholders. A Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will be formed for this project.

    Regular updates will be posted on this page throughout the life of the project.
